Having recently joined the Wiley Online Library, I am interested in Zoo Biology, a professional zoo journal published on behalf of the American Association of Zoos and Aquariums. I've read of few of their free articles-but I probably won't suscribe because of the wildly expensive subscription fee. US $336 for personal print! Does anyone know why this is so expensive? Their studies are excellent, but don't want to spend that much money. If anyone knows another journal that is more cost-effective, yet still professional, please let me know!

Animal Keepers Forum might be more to your liking. Published by the American Association of Zoo Keepers (AAZK).

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, Hix! I'd much rather pay only $30!

I should point out I've not read anything from Zoo Biology, but I imagine it's more technical than AKF, which is written by Zoo keepers, for the most part.
