For 2013 the zoo is opening new exhibits for Australian and Madagascan animals.
Notable new arrivals are a pair of red fronted lemurs, the only ones in France, which came from Jilhava and Budapest.

Strange that the Red-fronted lemur is not kept in more French zoos because France always had good connections with Madagascar and Lemurs have always been well-represented in France zoos !

I don't know but suppose not as this species is hold in Puy du Fou, Les Aigles du Léman and Rocher des Aigles in Rocamadour, three very good facilities for birds breeding.

A newspaper article indicate that the zoo has a multi year building plan until 2024.
The zoo will use 500.000 euros to enlarge a gibbons enclosure, create a small tropical house and a walkthrough aviary. This area will be called "The Lost Temple".

From what I know the enlargment of the gibbons enclosure has been done already :

    Here northen white-cheeked gibbons.
For a long time the zoo had : pileated, northen white-cheeked and lar gibbons. The last times, lar were just a male and his son. I suppose these ones have gone.

Maya, the young female ocelot, is travelling to Zoo de Guyane today with scarlet ibisses born at the zoo. A young male ocelot born at Zoa, small park in Sanary Bandol (south-east of France) travel with Maya. The two ocelots will form a breeding pair.
