The only option there is really is ZootierlisteHomepage but that's german. You can browse it using latin names, and it's pretty acurate for german zoos, but less so for other zoos in Europe. It's maintained by enthousiast and doesn't exist that long yet, so in a couple of years i reckon it'll be even better...

If you would like, you could contribute to it and make it even more accurate :)

    Hey folks,
as i promised, the zootierliste is now ready in english :)
'cause it's interactive, everyone can register and help.
The zootierliste is of cause mostly for german holdings, but also for european.
If here are enough folks who like to help with an american or australian list, we could do that also. But for now: Just germany and europe:

I think it fits in here best :)

We have now for all free to use on Zootierliste the Zoo radius search.

You type in where you are and you get a list of all zoos near you. If you click then on the name you get a map with the location of the zoo and the current animal-list:

I think that this is the best place for the following questions:-
I checked ZTL today and found that there are listings for the US and Canada, (San Diego and African Safari.) is this a step towards global Zootierliste? And are international users aware of this new feature?

These are just in for testing right now. A real american version is years away.

Well other than the lack of listings it seems functional, even the map works! ;) If ZTL goes global then it will be the ultimate zoo-geek database, here's hoping you can pull it off Animal! :D
I was very surprised to see the two countries on there, it's only been two weeks since I last checked it.
