Hello everyone, A group of talented people under my lead have come together under the name Sifaka Game Studios and we are developing a new zoo management game, called Zoo Manager (ZM). It can be seen as a spiritual successor of games like Zoo Tycoon and Wildlife Park, where you create and manage a zoo. I have seen a post about the game earlier but there was almost no context to it, so i decided to explain the game a bit more in-depth and show some of the animals! Bengal Tiger in Alpha 0.1 General Idea of the game You have been tasked with developing a thriving zoo while taking care of precious animals from all around the world. Make sure the animals' needs are satisfied. Build detailed and realistic enclosures and give the animals the time of their lives! Don't forget about the customers though. They love to see these majestic animals roaming around your zoo and having fun. The customers also love some good food and drinks. Build greatly customizable (food)stands and kiosk. You need to keep your customers happy and thus your animals to earn revenue so you can expand and improve your zoo. Our current status Right now our team is working towards a public demo for the audience to play around with. The demo will have 24 different animal species to play with once it's in Alpha 2. We do have platforms for our fans to meet and hang out at, but I'd rather not advertise on that. For that you can just do a quick google on our game! If you have any questions about the game, feel free to ask them!
We have another animal in our demo. As it is quite an unusual animal to have in a game, we've decided to add it! The Guanaco! (yes the toes are not too accurate, thats for the next version)
I'm a friend of Timmiegun for a few years and as far as I'm aware the project was put on hold for an indefinite amount of time due to the release of Planet Zoo. I don't know if he plans to go back to the game or not since I know he is occupied with other things.
Sadly this is correct, Planet Zoo fulfilled the need for a zoo game at the moment, mostly because a lot of the mechanics that were planned are similar. The only big difference wouldve been the variety in animals. Mods can close this thread if they wish.
That blows. It's great that planet zoo fullfils the spot for a zoo game, but it doesn't have to be the only zoo game out there.
Reading this now and I’m kind of curious as to what kind of plans there were for what platforms it would have been released to?
