This is a publicly owned zoo in east continental Croatia. Far from sea coast in area that has zero tourists. It has 12 hectares and 103 species. It has 32 employees. It also runs a wildlife rescue station.

This year, it got EAZA membership and that means they can easily source animals from EEP programs.

It got 90.000 attendance in 2023 - a new record. (attendance in 2022 was 83.000)

Currently, they build a new better enclosure and house for Moor macaques (Macaca maura - Osijek is 1 of last 3 holdings according to ZTL). And they work on chimpansee enclosure enlargement.

For 2024, they plan to build a children zoo and reconstruct a brown bear enclosure.
