Like the use of the wooden posts in between the glass.

Finally got around to playing a bit, continuing to remodel the entrance, finally moved the gemsbok temporarily and pygmy hippos died out.

    Old bear house.

I was trying new things on the game. Here is a nocturnal house for aardvarks (linked to an outdoor exhibit) :

Have decided to finally start showing my own project - recreating ZSL Whipsnade Zoo to scale in the game! Here’s a link to part one of the introduction to the project and what’s been done so far :)

I've spent yesterday evening/this morning (currently 3am) building the first part of my version of a US "Roadside zoo or so called Sanctuary). It's taken a stupid amount of time, but I've built two small tiger exhibits (Bengal and Siberian, as titled in the game); each is connected to a small house via tunnels. I hope to continue the zoo with more carnivores - Jags, Hyena and bears are my next options... and I may choose to add some hoofstock/ungulates, I'm thinking the camels would make a sensible addition that would also fit with the theme. I plan to do much more decorating, making the zoo more realistic... but here's an idea of what the zoo looks like currently. (Work in progress)

Having been to many real "roadside" zoos myself, I can say the best animal choices among the current animal roster would be:

    American Bison
    Arctic Wolf
    Bactrian Camel
    Bengal Tiger
    Columbian White-faced Capuchin Monkey
    Common Ostrich
    Common Warthog
    Gemsbok
    Grizzly Bear
    Indian Peafowl
    Japanese Macaque
    Llama
    Nile Monitor
    Plains Zebra
    Red Ruffed Lemur
    Reindeer
    Ring-tailed Lemur
    Siberian Tiger
    Spotted Hyena
    Timber Wolf
    West African Lion
    Western Chimpanzee

Jaguars aren't usually found in roadside zoos.

Some updates to the zoo - I've created a small keeper area and a medium sized entrance building, which will lead into a small plaza. With the addition of some foliage and barriers, this area is starting to come together... It's by no means done.. but it's certainly starting to look more realistic. Next up, some small covered tiger stalls!

Day 3 of the roadside zoo build - I've built two covered big cat cages/stalls which currently house the offspring from the Siberian/Bengal pairs in the open topped exhibits. Alongside this, I've built a "corn crib" cage type exhibit for a small Capuchin group. The final image shows the whole zoo up to this point :)

Day 4 of the roadside build - A little less than usual, but I didn't play for long this evening. Here we have an enclosure for a single brown bear to fill in the empty corner of the zoo.

Day 5 of the roadside build - Today I've built a very small "corn crib" Jaguar cage, which currently holds a pair; I plan to make a larger exhibit in the future. In addition to this, I've built a medium sized camel exhibit, the first large mammal that isn't a carnivore. I'm not sure what I'll build tomorrow evening... I'm thinking Hyena?

Thank you! I've made a few additions since, but I've been busy with work. I'll give an update in the next few days ... I've added a Wolf/Hyena complex.
