I found it on the page that displays the different prices depending on age.

Oh, thank you (both) it is on the page that displays ticket prices on the websites of most zoos.

I have now visited several zoos by myself (including Tiergarten Schonbrunn in Vienna today) so I thought I would update you all. There are no problems whatsoever and I haven't (yet) had anyone mind my going around by myself. Just a warning to any young zoochatters who want to try going around a zoo by yourself: you will get some funny looks if you go around photographing construction areas, signage and off-show areas while making copious notes in a notebook and muttering to yourself about how annoying meerkats are. ;)

Lets start with the fact that you can now see them in farm parks and bird of prey centres,so I now have no escape from them anywhere!

Then you can try annoying car adverts, and the Lion king and if you are still having trouble, all I can say is you are just SIMPLES:p

Today, I visited Birdworld and Underwaterworld in Surrey who advertise prominently outside the door that those under the age of 16 have to be accompanied by an adult, and although I am only 15, I was able to go. I just explained truthfully without lying over my age or anything like that and the person at the entrance allowed the rules to be bent slightly :).

And having recently been to the best bird zoo in the world, how did your visit to the Walsrode of the Home Counties compare?

Compared to Walsrode... well, it doesn't compare to Walsrode. However, looking at it as a small collection of birds with a few nice exhibits, quite nice grounds and one or two rarities. It's a nice little zoo and I enjoyed my day there. :)
