It's a very interesting place. They are living at the top of the zoo and their indoor stables are visible, as well.

Islands in Danger where one has been for ages. I saw it around 1015. There were no signs for it though but I looked for it anyway and it was in the back part of the enclosure behind the second fence

    96. Caribbean manatee / Trichechus manatus

Visited one of my all time favourite zoos, sadly without bighorn sheep this time. With plans for two more zoos this year (if Covid cooperates), 100 should be within reach.

Since the California Bighorn Sheeps left Arnhem, only viable option for me to see them was Plzen. The zoo has 9 females and, if there is any chance the species to stay in Europe, they need to import a male! (I am not sure how closely related are the animals in France to the Plzen's group ) Next door Dall's Sheep is doing better and I was happy to see two lambs.

Forgot about this - here is the update - quite paltry, but hopefully next year will entail more travel.

    London Zoo

    28. Burchell's zebra, Equus quagga burchelli
    29. Common warthog, Phacochoerus africanus
    30. Okapi, Okapia johnstoni
    31. Red River hog, Potamochoerus porcus
    32. Reeves' muntjac, Muntiacus reevesi
    33. Sulawesi babirusa, Babyrousa celebensis
    34. Western pygmy hippopotamus, Choeropsis liberiensis
    35. Bactrian camel, Camelus ferus
    36. Kune-kune, Sus scrofa
    37. Llama, Lama guanicoe
    38. West African pygmy goat, Capra aegragus

And that's it for the year I'd expect, unless I can catch a glimpse of the ever-elusive red duikers at London!

I was almost denied to do the trip to Munich, but luckily everything went well and I managed to see the last missing species. It's sad that I need to finish this Challenge, but I hope I can participate again. Special gratitude to @ShonenJake13 for arranging it and to everyone who participated and made the game so competitive and exciting!

    14/12 Tierpark Hellabrunn
    136. Apennine Chamois (Rupicapra pyrenaica ornata)
