    Please don't ban me hehe!

Okay I am finally back home after almost 3 weeks abroad for the 2nd time this year. Another whirlwind trip, this time visiting 9 countries and 33 Zoos. So I'm assuming that whoever gave you offshow access knows you've posted about these? Because I can think of at least a couple of reasons why the collections wouldn't be too happy knowing you've posted this information online...

Generally from personal experience posting about often exclusive behind the scenes experiences on a public forum doesn't end too well

Okay fixed. Can u edit your quote as well?
I figured it was alright since I made no mention of where I saw them. But as per your advice I will secure permission before mentioning them. Hopefully permission will be granted for me to share photographs as well.

    I have done so.

Well a lot of people know where the three species you have edited into anonymity are as they are such unique species, kept in only a handful of places. So good call asking for permission IMO as you have no idea what reaction they'll have to you publicly, in their eyes, showing off that you saw these species on a public forum.

Giant Eland, in addition to the marten the following all can be seen at Zoo America.
    American Black Bear
    Ocelot
    Bobcat
There is no longer a Swift Fox there.
Bobcat, American Black Bear and Coyote can also both be seen at the Buttonwood Zoo in New Bedford, MA

I think he meant new species for him. Doesn't the zoo also have a pair of Ringtail still?

Also, are you sure on the Coyotes. The Queens Zoo animals are hybrids and I'd imagine the Buttonwood Zoo animals will be, too, if they were sourced from the Northeast.

That is what he meant and I was listing species from his list that he still needed. Yes I assume they are Eastern Coyotes whatever that really is

Little update of my 2018-challenge because several zoo-visits gave me some new species for this year ( and even a lifer :) ! ) :
Dierenpark Amersfoort was good for one new species :
    52 ) Geoffroy's cat - Leopardus geoffroyi ( see Geoffroy's cat | ZooChat )
BestZoo - were I met Kakapo on his Dutch - Belgium trip - provided me with a lifer :
53 ) Eastern spotted skunk - Spilogale putorius ( see Enclosure Spotted skunk | ZooChat )
and my second visit to Blijdorp - Rotterdam helped me to reduce the number of missed species at my first visit from 4 to 2 ( Kit fox and European river otter still not seen :( ) :
    54 ) Maned wolf - Chrysocyon brachyurus
    55 ) Pallas cat - Otocolobus manul ( see Pallas cat | ZooChat )

On Oct. 15 my wife gave me a nice birthdays-present : a zoo-visit to a zoo of my choise. Because it was already 2 years ago that I visited Zie-Zoo ( Volkel - the Netherlands ) and the changes it made during this time, we went to Volkel. Esp. for carnivores this is the place to be in the Netherlands and for the 2018-challenge I can add no less then 7 new species:
    57 ) Striped hyena - Hyaena hyaena ( see Striped hyena | ZooChat )
    58 ) Dhole - Cuon alpinus ( see Dhole | ZooChat )
    59 ) Wolverine - Gula gula
    60 ) Common cusimanse - Crossarchus obsurus ( see Common cusimanse | ZooChat )
    61 ) Ring-tailed vontsira - Galidia elegans ( see Ring-tailed vontsira | ZooChat )
    62 ) White-nosed coati - Nasua narica ( see White-nosed coati | ZooChat )
63 ) American black bear - Ursus americanus ( see American black bear | ZooChat )

Next to these "new" species also about 15 other carnivore-species seen which were already on my 2018-list.

Friends invited me today for a suprise zoo-visit and went with me ( and my wife ) to Zoo Parc Overloon :). A nice collection which I hadn't visited for several years and with 2 species still missing on my 2018-carnivore list !
The first of them is not kept at any collection I already had visited this year, the other at 2 collections but I missed it both at Planckendael and at Zie-Zoo :

    64 ) Crab-eating raccoon - Procyon cancrivorus ( see Crab-eating raccoon | ZooChat )
    65 ) Bush dog - Speothos venaticus ( see Bush dog | ZooChat )
