I read the rules as saying that Oceania only needs two deer species total. I may have misinterpreted it though.

    • Any 2 deer species native to your continent (any 1 deer counts for Oceania)
    • Any 2 deer species exotic to your continent (any 1 deer counts for Oceania)

    Wellington Zoo, 06 February.

I managed to see almost all the remaining species at the zoo which qualify for the Challenges (Little Blue Penguin, Himalayan Monal, Sun Bear, and Swamp Wallaby all spotted - the first time I've even seen that last species since they arrived at the zoo in March 2022!). There are still (I think) a Parma and a Tammar Wallaby at the zoo but I almost never see them out, and it turns out the Sun Conures are gone now.

So I have started three more Challenges (Penguimonium, Fly The Coop, and Unbearable), to make 14 Challenges started. And added an extra species into two in-progress Challenges (Let's Give This Another Go, and Embrace The ABCs).

Thank you for bringing that to my attention, Mr. Great Argus. I will make the corrections on my spreadsheet. I appreciate it.

@ThylacineAlive Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere in the thread, but I'm a bit confused by this one. Is it at least two zoos, to prevent people from doing it all at one, is it a maximum of two zoos, or is it exactly two zoos?

I think it’s “at least two zoos” because the animals required are so common and “ABC” that it isn’t that hard to see them at more than one zoo. It is literally impossible to One zoo wonder this challenge.

Ah, so you have to see the same animal twice?

No I mean for the challenge. I'm still working on my list and this is just from Henry Vilas.. oh boy :)

Also, do fish count? Not for the ABC challenge obviously, but in general? This is probably a silly question

Fish are animals, therefore they count. If you look in what's already been posted, you'd notice that some of us *have* counted fish in a few of the challenges already, and of course some of the challenges even require a fish or two for completion.

Yeah, in hindsight I probably should have known that off the bat. I don't know why I thought there was a possibility they wouldn't be.

I genuinely had just understood that Challenge as meaning that the species need to all be seen, but in "at least two zoos" (i.e. as many zoos as it takes, just not all at a single zoo in order to make it a bit harder).

I hadn't even considered it meant that they all need to be seen twice (i.e. each species needs to be seen at two different zoos).

This interpretation is what I was thinking of.
