    I think you mean Otidiphaps nobilis here - that’s the species the zoo keeps.

    I wasn't sure because it is possible they could have occurred on the mainland in the past.

    They did - but the important point is that they are restricted to an island now.

    I will trust you on this- the scientific name did not come out on my picture of the sign so I did a Google search and this showed up. It is now changed to Otidiphaps nobilis. (I am not physically changing it on my list because I know I will not see either species again this year).
    Okay- I thought they were based on t he sign. Sorry- removed.from my list.
    Based on this- I can add one more.

    I’m thinking no, but we’re discussing it now and I’ll let you know. Were they easy to see? I saw that Toledo had gotten them last month and I’m very excited to see them in a few weeks, they’ve always been a bucket list species for me!
