The 3rd match of the 3rd round pins two highly respected zoos against one another with ungulates as the category. San Diego's Horn and Hoof mesa is almost a complete remnant of the past with only a few dusty yards remain for zebras, elands, yellow-back duiker and a few others. Elephant Odyssey has come under fire and is a controversial exhibit complex, that contains multiple species in more dusty paddocks plus the elephants of course. Some highlights in the zoo include the large hippo pool with the okapi exhibit backdrop, tropical pig yards, an excellent ibex mountain and rhinos and giraffes in the Urban Jungle. Woodland park has a expansive elk yard and Mountain goat mountain habitat, an older but still good hippo pool, the newly opened Assam Rhino Reserve habitat (Temporary) taking up the old elephant space, and perhaps the highlight is the big great African Savannah habitat right in the middle of the park.
