    Dear all,

Zoohistorica was created in 1990 by a group of European collectors of zoo literature and memorabilia. It is an annual meeting that brings together collectors of such documents from all over Europe. It takes place usually the first weekend of September in a large European zoo. The festivities begin Friday evening with an ice breaker where all may see again friends and exchange all the news about zoos. An exchange fair of zoo literature and memorabilia takes place on Saturday morning, then followed by a guided tour of the zoo where Zoohistorica is hold. Sunday is devoted to the visit of a second zoological collection of the surroundings.

The 20th tnternational meeting of collectors of zoo literature and memorabilia will be held the last weekend of August 2009 at the Amnéville Zoo (France). It will be the first time this event is organized at a French zoo! In addition, Zoohistorica 2009 will be the twentieth since the first meeting in 1990 at Hanover Zoo, Germany.

Reserve now the 29th and 30th August 2009 in your planner! Registrations will be taken from March 2009. The first program as well as information about the organization of the event and accomodation opportunities in Amnéville will be published at that time.
