This thread is one that I've been meaning to do for a while. The idea was simple, to create a compilation of all the species lists for North American Zoos on Zoochat into one thread. However, a few problems arose, such as multiple species lists for the same zoo, and the accuracy of older lists. Therefore, I used lists no older than Jan 1st, 2021, and only included one entry per zoo, usually the most recent, for this list. Like all such lists, I've probably missed a species list here or there, but this should be most of them for North America (USA and Canada). I used lists from 2021 or newer in order to make sure that they were, for the most part, up to date. I left off one older in the hopes that more updated ones could be made. Canada was really slacking in this regard, I couldn't find any lists newer than 2021. Some major zoos need updates, and some states like Kansas, Texas, Missouri, and Indiana are pretty incomplete. Hopefully, this list can be used as a resource, and now that it is all listed out, the gaps in the list can be filled in with new ones.

Thanks for the additions, and your effort in making so many of the lists! Some of those I somehow missed, but the partial ones I decided to hold off on. I suppose it can't hurt to include them.

Perhaps it is difficult for the smaller places, and unnecessary for those that keep mostly stagnant collections, but I feel it just wouldn't be accurate to go older than 2020. Especially for bigger zoos like St. Louis, Columbus, Detroit, etc., newer lists can be made with relative ease. A newer list for Detroit would highlight that need, it would probably be significantly shorter than even the 2019 one you linked. The list is recent, and while admittedly not the best, I thought it was better than nothing, especially for a zoo like Toledo. Whenever a newer, better list is made for Toledo, we can replace it. Thank you for these additions. Interesting to note, but I don't see how this is more useful than say the Toledo list.
These are all a bit outdated, and other than the DeYong Family Zoo, frequently visited by many Zoochatters, so newer and more accurate lists could easily be made. It certainly is not. What gave you that notion? Already listed.
Hmmm...I wonder who on this forum would have an incredibly recent and complete species list from Toledo? Couldn't be me... . The Milwaukee list is from 2021 (I update the lists later on thread for zoos I visit often). Because you list doesn't include complete lists for Amazon Rising or Wild Reef, and this one does.

I updated mine later on, it is a complete list now. That list wasn't the most complete either, it was missing scientific names (Important for fish and inverts with confusing common names) and there were regularly more species per tank than listed.
